The department was established in 1996, where registration began for students in the academic year 1996/1997. The section gives the bachelor degree (B. Sc.) in animal production. The department provides the chance to find available employment opportunities in the local and national institutions dealing with the agricultural sector, and own livestock cooperative programs, in poultry, dairy cattle and sheep farms, and feeding staff factories in the private sector.
