Vision
The Department aspires to be a leader in education, scientific research, and
the provision of valuable scientific advice and consultation that contribute to
elevating agricultural crops to the highest standards. It is dedicated to
protecting crops from the numerous pests that threaten them, serving the
interests of the community, minimizing the environmental impact of chemical
pesticide use, and developing sustainable alternatives through the adoption of
integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.

educational systems to prepare graduates—agricultural engineers—who are capable
of providing high-quality agricultural services, addressing and solving
production challenges, and developing innovative solutions. Graduates are
expected to be creative, environmentally conscious, and well-informed. The
Department also aims to conduct scientific research and studies that enhance the scientific
and practical competence of professionals working in the field of plant
protection in Jordan.
